Beekenkamp and Danziger Sign Agreement for North American Poinsettia Market
  Danziger to Offer Beekenkamp Varieties
(1/27/16) -- Mishmar Hashiva, Israel, January 27, 2016 – Danziger is continuing to expand their portfolio of products to the U.S. Market with the addition of Poinsettia cuttings of Beekenkamp’s leading varieties.

"We are pleased to meet the demands of our customers through collaboration with a market leader like Beekenkamp,” says Micha Danziger, Co-CEO at Danziger “Dan” Flower Farm. “We've worked hard to establish an advanced production infrastructure that provides our customers with the highest level of quality and service. ”With more than 15 years of experience in poinsettia breeding, Beekenkamp conducts extensive trials at five different U.S. sites for all of their poinsettia varieties.

New from HEM Genetics, Spring Trials 2016: The next generation genetic dwarf petunias are indicated by the characters “GP” which stands for Garden performance. Compared to the first generation genetic dwarf petunias, the GPs perform exactly the same for the greenhouse grower with compact habit for ease of culture without PGRs. The difference in garden performance is noticeable to consumers because they show more growth vigor, resulting in a more robust plant habit with an even better performance in containers, beds, and the landscape. In addition to three new colors: 'Burgundy', 'Sky Blue' and 'Mid Blue', we have added a new 'Heather's Mix' which was created by Heather-Will Browne at Walt Disney World Horticulture for use in their parks. Because she is well respected for her knowledge of the effective use of color combinations in the landscape, we have named this mixture as a tribute to her.
